Hi, I'm Meg

I'm a Hampshire-based mum, designer and the founder of Sew Luxe Co.

Sew Luxe Co. was born in 2020 during one of life's most uncertain

chapters. Pregnant with my daughter during the pandemic, I found

myself searching for a creative outlet. Something that would quiet

my mind, slow the pace of life and give me a sense of purpose.

I picked up my needle and thread and before long, what began

as a personal escape became something much bigger.

In November 2022, I opened my Etsy shop from my kitchen table,

never imagining that those first few orders would grow into the

business I run today. Since then, Sew Luxe Co. has become a

community of stitchers who appreciate beautiful design, thoughtful

details and the joy of making something with their own hands.

But my story with stitching began long before that.

​

I grew up in Jersey, where I first learnt to cross stitch at primary school, when I was just five or six years old. I still remember the excitement of watching a picture slowly appear, one stitch at a time. It taught me patience, creativity and the quiet satisfaction that comes from creating something yourself.

​

At secondary school, Textiles quickly became my favourite subject. I loved experimenting with different techniques - from sewing and appliqué to felting and I was fascinated by the craftsmanship behind handmade pieces. My wonderful textiles teacher, who now owns a beautiful sewing and haberdashery shop in Jersey, even stocks some of my accessories today, which feels like such a full-circle moment!

That passion led me to study Fashion Design in London, where I fell in love with couture-inspired hand stitching, intricate beading and illustration. I've always been drawn to crafts that celebrate detail, patience and artistry.

Years later, in 2018, a colleague reintroduced me to cross stitch again and everything clicked. This time, I didn't just enjoy stitching other people's designsI began creating my own.

​

Today, every Sew Luxe Co. design starts with that same excitement I felt as a child. I create modern cross stitch kits, handcrafted needle minders, scented thread gloss and thoughtfully curated accessories that bring a little everyday luxury to your stitching time. My designs are inspired by nature, travel, beautiful colour palettes and the belief that handmade should feel special.

More than anything, I want Sew Luxe Co. to encourage people to slow down.

​

In a world that constantly asks us to do more, stitching gives us permission to pause. Whether it's twenty peaceful minutes with a cup of tea after work, a sunny afternoon stitching by the pool or a cosy evening curled up on the sofa, those small moments matter.

Every product is designed, tested and packed by me with care, because I know you're not just buying a kit - you're investing in time for yourself.
